The Waters
2 Kings 2:19-22

19-And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this
city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

  • (TR)The men of the city Seeking Assistance in direction, having a good prospect
    but did not have water or fruitful soil. Water is Naught - (bad or evil, adversity,
    affliction)
WATER - A liquid that descends from the clouds
WATER - Forms
WATER - Is a Major Constituent of all Living Matter.
*Constituent - One who Authorizes another to act as an agent

WATER                     IS                  NAUGHT

  • (TR)The Ground Barren


Ground - The bottom of a body of water
Ground - The base
Ground - The Surface of the earth
Ground - An area used for a particular purpose belonging to a house
Ground - An area to be won or defense if in battle

Barren - Not reproducing, Incapable of producing, Desolate, Fruitless, Unresponsive

   GROUND                   IS                     BARREN

20-And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein, And they brought it to
him.





  • (TR)New Cruse - A utensil, A cup for holding water or Oil, A small utensil, vessel
    for holding liquids.
  • (TR)SALT - Used to season or preserve
  • (TR)SALT - Ingredient
  • (TR)SALT used to season the water, Salt is Gods, purifying power, Salt symbolic of
    loyalty and friendship.

We are the vessel, I must offer myself unto God, He will do the purifying

SALT CONVENT - to eat salt with one is to partake of his hospitality and friendship,
making a friendship pledge is to eat food with salt  (Arabic)

SALT - In a New Cruse

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith
shall it be salted? It is thereforth good for nothing, but to be cast our and to  be
trodden under foot of men.
Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it?
Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

SALT is the application of the Word of God in us.
Gods work of Grace is brought about Him and Him alone and not by any
operations of ours.

21-And he went forth unto the spring of waters, and cast the salt in there, and said
thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any
more death or barren land.

  • (TR)When God by his Spirit heals a Soul, there shall be no more death nor
    barrenness; the property is    
altered: what was useless and offensive becomes grateful and serviceable.

  • (TR)Went forth to the Spring of the waters

  • (TR)CAST Salt in there

I Must Throw My-self into the Word of God

and said    I Must Speak (Speak) In the Name of Jesus - I am but a Instrument
I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or
barren land.The Miracle was Permanent. Make the tree good and the fruit will
be good. Purify the heart and that will cleanse the  hands.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth. It  shall be for ever. Nothing
can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men
should fear before him.
Do ALL In the Name of Jesus speak, teach, rule, what God says to do or what
he says to speak  Do His Will, Speak His Words.

22-So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which
he spake.
  • (TR)So the waters (people, Life) were healed unit this day
